Opening the (blue) door to outstanding innovation

As 2020 entries open today, Jo Bertram, Managing Director of O2 Business, shines a light on some of the business trailblazers leading the way at O2 Business’s inaugural Blue Door Awards.

At O2, our customers are the heart of our business. We’re always looking for opportunities to celebrate them and recognise their successes. And this was exactly our focus when we launched O2 Business’s brand-new awards programme in 2019.

This year, we’ll be recognising outstanding initiatives in four different areas – and there’ll also be a chance for all finalists to face the people’s choice vote when they’re unveiled at this year’s Blue Door Expo.

Recognising excellence

Holding the Blue Door Awards was all about putting the spotlight on some of the most effective ways our business customers have leveraged digital connectivity, setting the standard on what’s possible when organisations match the right technology with their own individual needs.

It was a chance for the companies involved to raise their profile by showcasing their innovations, and for us to recognise and celebrate their achievements.

The four award categories have been designed to recognise the many ways in which better digital connectivity can deliver more effective business outcomes:

  1. Use of technology to connect with customers
  2. Use of technology to engage your employees
  3. Working with suppliers
  4. Use of technology to support and give back to the community

Entries are open to all O2 Business customers in the UK, whether that be an SMB (10+ employees), a private sector large enterprise or public sector organisation that has implemented an O2 technology solution.

We look forward to showcasing our 2019 winners and their initiatives over the next few weeks, but you can read all of the stories here.

What is clear from these inspiring stories, is that digital connectivity delivers countless benefits to UK businesses. It can improve customer experience, enhance employee engagement, optimise supplier management and deliver important services to the community.

Each of the winners of last year’s Blue Door Awards is proof of what’s possible when businesses put outcomes first, and I’d like to congratulate them all again on their achievements.

Entries for our 2020 awards opens 9th July so take a look at our submission guidelines and upload your entries here.
