O2 launches Managed Endpoint Detection and Response product for business customers

My job involves helping our business customers and partners to understand and mitigate the risks that come from cyber crime and security weaknesses. One thing I’ve learned is that whatever its size, no business can afford the cost or disruption that comes with a successful cyber attack – which is why I am so excited at the launch of O2’s new Managed Endpoint Detection And Response (EDR) solution which is available to all business customers.

It takes an active approach to endpoint security that monitors and protects in real time to prevent and block attacks and hunt threats that have infiltrated a company’s defences. It offers greater visibility into what’s happening across your entire device estate, providing both context and detailed information about attacks.

Addressing the skills shortage

If you’re responsible for IT recruitment, particularly in the sphere of cyber security, you will be aware of the current skills shortage. Last year McAfee published Hacking the skills shortage, a research paper based on interviews with 775 IT and cyber security decision-makers. It revealed that 82% of respondents reported a shortage of cyber security skills.

With this in mind, O2 offers Managed Services of our Cloud EDR solution, which eases the burden of recruiting and retaining a skilled resource to manage and maintain the solution.
