Gearing up for Small Business Saturday: Gurus on the Go
In the run up to this year’s Small Business Saturday, the O2 Gurus have been out and about meeting with local communities in Belfast and Nottingham. Small Business Saturday seeks to celebrate the best and brightest of the UK’s SMBs as well as encouraging consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities. Armed with the latest know-how, the Gurus have been advising local outlets about the benefits of the new generation of business tech.
Our first stop was in Belfast, where the Gurus toured local businesses and showed owners and staff how technology can make the working day easier and more productive. With 4G hitting lightning speeds in Belfast, the Gurus demonstrated how locals could make the most of 4G in their businesses.
But you don’t have to be in Belfast to make the most of the super-speed data connection; 4G is now available in over 200 cities around Britain. So have a look at some of our shots from the day, then read on to find out how 4G can help your business too.
In the era of the smartphone, working on the move is essential to all entrepreneurs. It can be even more important for businesses with small teams to stay online and share the load between team members. 4G gives your business seamless connectivity so you don’t have to be in the office to get through your to-do list.
Productivity and Efficiency
It’s not just about being able to work on the move, it’s being able to get more done on the go too. Faster data speeds mean that you will spend less time waiting for documents to download and more time getting things done. By 2015, Capital Economics predicts that the 4G revolution will have saved businesses 37 million working hours because of time saved through faster downloads and more robust connections.
Working online is brilliant for collaborative working, especially if you have team members who are working remotely or internationally. Storing files within the Cloud also means you have all your documents with you wherever you go.
