How to work remotely with Microsoft Office 365

Making a success of a business in the digital age requires flexibility and an ability to work on the go. With Microsoft Office 365 from O2 your essential software and files all live online –  in the ‘cloud’ – and can be accessed and edited whenever you’re online. Whether you’re in a café, a train station or on business abroad, your essential files are always right at your fingertips, allowing you to work remotely, and giving you more time and resources to focus on making your business a success. Here’s how it works.

  1. Install Microsoft Office 365 across all of your devices for access anywhere

Office 365 is easy to use,   with the option to include expert telephone support in your package so help is there when you need it. . Once it’s ready, employees can access the full complement of essential Microsoft Office software, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and OneNote, from a variety of devices, including PCs, Macs, Windows Tablets, iPads and smartphones (and you can install on up to five devices per individual license). Helpfully, software is all hosted and managed in the cloud. As software updates happen automatically,  there’s no longer any need to worry about  IT updates or faults

  1. Use One Drive for Business to automatically store and backup all of your files

OneDrive for Business is your portable personal library, giving you access to all of your work files whenever you’re connected to the internet. Your documents are private and secure – unless, of course, you decide you need to share them, in which case they can be easily placed in the relevant shared folder. Either way you’re always in control. Files are saved and backed up regularly, and with 1TB of storage space it’s highly unlikely you’ll ever need to worry about memory space again.

  1. Build bespoke communications for your business

The way we speak to our customers and clients can really make a difference. In the absence of face to face interaction, it’s important that digital communication is personable, engaging and professional. With Office 365, you can  set up a business grade email, with your own company name. In addition using professional templates, you’ll be able to create a website for your business to share news and promotions, as well as your services and products.
